Events
TXCHPI holds a number of events throughout the year geared primarily to serving its members. For upcoming events, see the "What's New" sidebar on the home page.
ANNUAL EVENTS
In 2010, the Texas CHP Initiative launched its annual conference and tradeshow tradition. These events have thus far generated a great deal of enthusiasm in the CHP community, providing networking opportunities, professional development through a diversity of paneled discussions and workshops, and drawing large turnouts.
CHP2011 Conference and Trade Show (Oct. 17-19, 2011)
CHP2011 featured
two workshops, 11 plenary and panel discussions, and 55 speakers.
High-profile speakers included U.S. Representative Gene Green (D.-TX),
Louisiana Public Service Commissioner, and Texas Sen. Rodney Ellis
(D.-Houston). CHP2011 and drew roughly 285 attendees, representing
roughly 150 organizations; 31 exhibitors, up from 19 last year; and 14
sponsors from across the country, along with a few international
attendees. More
CHP Policy Forum and Trade Show (Nov. 18-19, 2010)
This
three-day event gathered representatives of the state's CHP and WHR
industries to learn about and discuss the economic, environmental, and energy security
benefits among facility managers, federal and state officials, utility
representatives, and other interested parties; national and regional
experts discussed CHP policy, best practices, and technology. The event
included an exhibit hall featuring top CHP equipment manufacturers and
services providers, two plenary sessions, 13 breakout technical
sessions, two awards ceremonies, and tours of Austin Energy's Mueller
Energy Center and UT Austin CHP plants. More
QUARTERLY EVENTSTXCHPI organizes quarterly networking luncheons, typically alternating between Houston, Austin, and Dallas. Board meetings also occur quarterly, and members are invited to attend parts of these meetings either in person or by conference call. Information on upcoming quarterly events are posted on the home page under "What's New". You may also contact the Executive Director for updates.
