Memorial Scholarship

Joe C. St. Pierre
1950-2007

Among other achievements, Joe C. St. Pierre was founding Board Chairman of the Texas CHP Initiative. His leadership and counsel were instrumental in the formation and operation of the Initiative. Chief among his accomplishments during the organization's infancy was his leading the legislative and regulatory efforts in 2007 to change public policy for combined heat and power in Texas. Mr. St. Pierre graduated from Newark College of Engineering with a degree in chemical engineering and proceeded to work at Solar Turbines for 21 years in its cogeneration sales force.
 
The Texas CHP Initiative established the Joe St. Pierre Memorial Scholarship Fund in recognition of Mr. St. Pierre. The fund will provide a scholarship for an undergraduate or graduate engineering or public policy student demonstrating Mr. St. Pierre's commitment to a clean energy future.
